<p class="Paragraph">Starting with <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Version 5.0, reversed texts are also copied over to AutoFormat and applied as AutoFormat. This makes the file format used for saving <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Writer AutoFormat and <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> Calc AutoFormat incompatible with earlier versions. <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> 5.0, 5.1 and <help:productversion xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTVERSION</help:productversion> can still read the old formats but older versions of <help:productname xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">%PRODUCTNAME</help:productname> cannot read the new AutoFormat.</p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Choose a predefined AutoFormat to apply to a selected area in your sheet.</help:help-text></p>
<p class="Paragraph"><help:help-text value="visible" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">If you have selected a range of at least 4 x 4 cells, you can add its formatting to the list of predefined AutoFormats by clicking <text:s text:c="" xmlns:text="http://openoffice.org/2000/text"/><span class="T1">Add</span>.</help:help-text> The <help:link Id="65879" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help">Add AutoFormat</help:link> dialog then appears.</p>

<p class="Paragraph">In this section you can turn the following elements of the <span class="T1">AutoFormat</span> on or off: <span class="T1">Number format, Borders, Font, Pattern, Orientation</span> and <span class="T1">Adjust width and height</span>.</p>
